Head of ICT Service Delivery
The Head of ICT Service Delivery is a key role within the Department of Education and Skills ICT Senior Management Team, contributing to the determination of strategy and approach of future business services and evolution of emerging technologies into service portfolio.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing school employee payroll operations, database administration (DBA), networks, infrastructure, telecommunications, cloud, security, business continuity planning and delivery of helpdesk support.
The successful candidate will have:
• significant and proven relevant experience at a senior level in operational and management roles in ICT service delivery, preferably in a large complex organisation;
• considerable experience of networks, infrastructure, n-tier architecture and operations and knowledge of modern technology stacks and component based architecture;
• the ability to lead and motivate a multi-disciplinary team to achieve excellent results within the ICT area;
• experience of formal project management methodologies (such as Prince2) and ICT service management practices (such as ITIL).
This is a full-time position and will be based in the Department’s office in Athlone, Co. Westmeath.
