DIRECTOR OF MARKETS
Tourism Ireland, the agency responsible for marketing the island of Ireland overseas as a preferred holiday destination, is currently recruiting an inspirational and dynamic strategic leader to oversee the delivery of world-class marketing programmes in our network of offices worldwide.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, and based in Dublin, the Director of Markets will provide professional leadership in marketing the island of Ireland in global markets. Particular emphasis will be placed on identifying, anticipating and stimulating demand within growth segments which will give the greatest return on investment and further grow market share.
The successful candidate will make a crucial contribution to the realisation of business objectives of the organisation and will play a major part in the definition and achievement of the vision of the industry.
This senior role requires exceptional communication and collaboration skills and an excellent ability to inspire support for imaginative and best in class international marketing initiatives while empowering a highly engaged team within our strong culture of pride, passion and commitment to Tourism Ireland’s values.
The successful candidate will project an expert approach and will have a proven track record in driving major marketing programmes in a competitive and fast paced environment. Educated to graduate level in a relevant business discipline and classically trained, candidates should be charismatic leaders with demonstrable commercial, financial and team leadership/development skills.
This is a challenging role and offers suitably qualified marketers, the unique opportunity to manage an evocative brand – Ireland. This role requires unsocial hours and the need to travel on the island of Ireland and overseas. An attractive salary, commensurate with the seniority of the position, will be offered.
